I had three weeks of pre-labour and about 5 hours of real labour. It was nowhere near as painful. Well, it probably was similar – just that I dealt with it differently – I blocked the pain out and concentrated on my deep breathing.

The music is Vivaldi’s Spring One. It wasn’t cued – it was actually playing very loudly in the room at the time. My other half is spraying Rescue Remedy in my mouth.
